Christian Tortu

Christian Tortu is a master of arrangement with an eye that appreciates and recreates beautiful motifs in nature. Inspired by his upbringing in the French countryside, he got his start in Paris as a humble creative florist, gaining attention for his inventive floral designs.  As attention to his skills grew, he then lent his talents to various other mediums world-wide, such as designing scenography for the most exclusive fashion shows in Paris and New York, and the Cannes Film Festival.  Among these pursuits, he has often designed tabletop pieces since it relates closely to his original calling as a florist, most notably for Raynaud. In this collection for Tozai, Tortu has evoked the simplicity and authenticity of nature, designing pieces that work well on the tabletop or with florals which are his signature talent.
